Meet the Owners: Lisa & Taylor Lefevre

A Lifelong Connection to Humboldt County
As lifelong residents of Humboldt County, we’ve always felt rooted in the beauty of the North Coast. This is where we grew up, and it’s where we chose to raise our family—surrounded by redwoods, ocean views, and the kind of natural beauty that inspires you every day. Our love for the outdoors has shaped our lives, and now we’re beyond excited to share that same passion with you through the places we’ve created together.
Our Journey
Our hospitality journey began with vacation rentals like The Wind and Tide and The Bluffs. These homes gave us the chance to welcome travelers to Humboldt’s rugged coastline, each space designed with Lisa’s love for style and Taylor’s craftsmanship, blending comfort with unforgettable views.
From there, we expanded into something even bigger—Schoolhouse Inn RV Resort. When we discovered the property, it instantly felt like home. Together we poured ourselves into transforming it into a place where people could connect with nature, relax with family and friends, and experience the beauty of the North Coast the way we do every day. Every path cleared, every cabin restored, every design detail was a labor of love we tackled side by side.
Most recently, we completed our vision with the historic Schoolhouse Inn. Restoring this landmark into a welcoming inn was a dream come true, combining Humboldt history with our passion for hospitality.
WELCOME TO OUR COMMUNITY
Every project we’ve taken on has been about more than buildings—it’s been about people and the memories they create. Whether you’re staying at one of our vacation rentals, camping under the stars at Schoolhouse Inn, or unwinding at the Schoolhouse Inn, we can’t wait to share our favorite places, hidden trails, and local experiences with you.
For us, it’s not just about where you stay—it’s about the stories, the laughter, and the connections you’ll carry long after you leave.
